Wrestling Midwest
El Dia de la Muertos 2009
Wednesday November 11th

Johnny Suave reporting

Suave: “Wrestling Midwest’s big South of the Border Supercard, El Dia de la Muertos went off Wednesday night and featured the WWR’s #4 ranked female wrestler Valora Salinas going for the WMW Ace Superior Title.  Could Valora bring the belt home in front of her hometown fans?”

Azteca jumps to her feet and runs to the corner, jumping up onto the turnbuckle, but as Ryven gets to his knees, he sees the move coming and grips the rope, giving it a hard tug, causing Azteca to fall, straddling the turnbuckle and drop back into the ring in the tree of woe position.  Ryven grins and slides out of the ring, positioning himself so that the rope wraps around Azteca’s neck as he grabs her head and pulls back before slamming his left fist right into the back of Azteca’s skull once, twice, and a third time.  Ryven then slides back into the ring and backs up a bit, running forward and hitting Azteca in the face with a running baseball slide dropkick, Azteca tumbles out of the tree of woe position and crumples to the mat in the corner…

Suave: “Paying homage to her luchadore days and wearing a mask, she requested to be called Azteca for the night.  And at the beginning, things didn’t look to well for Azteca as Ryven took the fight right to her.”

…Azteca gets to a knee, and pauses, sweat dripping from her body as she breathes heavily, obviously in pain and exhausted. Ryven charges forward and Azteca takes him down with a drop toe hold and jumps from that right into an STF, which Ryven rolls out of before Valora can fully lock in.  Ryven gets to his feet and dropkicks Valora in the face as she tries to get up.  Ryven stalks around Azteca and pulls her to her feet, measuring her before leveling her with another punch, sending her back to the mat.  Ryven walks over to Valora and pulls her to her feet but Azteca punches him in the gut, breaking up his motion for a split second and Azteca then responds with her Elbow slash, hitting Ryven with a vicious elbow strike, then a fraction of a second later, bringing the same elbow back and hitting Ryven on the other side of his face and head, sending Ryven staggering backwards, the blood flow from his nose increasing as Azteca then grabs him by the arm and runs to the turnbuckle, jumpng up and flipping over, almost in a moonsault style move but turns Ryven as she comes down and hooks the head taking him to the mat with a DDT bringing a loud cheer from the crowd…

Suave: “But about midway through, Azteca began to take charge.  That moonsault electrified the crowd.”

…Azteca counters with a right hand left hand, right hand punch combo to the gut before jumping to her feet and throwing another uppercut that nails Ryven, dazing him for a moment before Azteca jumps into the air, and spins, hitting him with Trouble in Paradise, which brings a huge roar from the crowd…

Suave: “And that Trouble in Paradise sent them through the roof.  Azteca on the prowl and going for the kill now.”

…Azteca then runs to the turnbuckle, climbing up quickly and leaping off, getting higher then usual and as she comes out of the first corkscrew turn, she changes her move into a Frog Splash like move, landing hard on top of Ryven and going for the cover.  Luna Pier drops down and the crowd counts with her as her hand hits the mat “UNO! DOS!  TRES!!”  Luna Pier calls for the bell and the crowd goes nuts, exploding into thunderous cheers that once again have the stadium appear as if it is literally shaking…

Suave: “And she does it in front of her hometown.  Valora Salinas- WMW’s new Ace Superior Champion!  With some analysis, here’s EW Torch’s Eeka Maus.”

Eeka: “Thanks Johnny.  Tonight, Valora was a woman on a mission.  No matter than both Valora and Ryven tried to beat the crap out each other earlier in the night during their tag team match, but both brought everything they had to the title match.  Valora fed off the crowd.  Ryven fed off wanting to hang on to the Ace Superior title at any cost.  Now that Valora has climbed this mountain, the question is, what’s next?  Her continued improvement is important to more than just herself and her future title aspirations.   As long as she stays healthy and focused, Valora should be a very strong candidate to take the next step up and go for WMW’s top title.  I’m Eeka Maus reporting for EW Torchcenter.”

Suave: “Thanks Eeka, let’s quickly run down the results from El Dia de la Muertos:
Hell Rell def. Mo’ Bad
***Ryven/Kronin def. Valora/Mr. Videogame to become the new WMW Tag Team Champions***
Heartlands Champion Hecate retains over Audrie McLaughlin
Adam Pyre def. Scott Vyper in a Last Man Standing Match
***Amariee wins the WMW Shoot Fight Title over Jack Reynolds***
***Valora def. Ace Superior Champion Ryven to win the title***
***Kronin def. WMW Great Lakes Champion AWS Man (also known as Bill) to become the new Great Lakes Champion***
