Posted November 20th by EW Torch Staff in E-Wrestling News, Torchcenter, Wrestling Midwest

Mischa Barnes – Welcome to all my fans and followers, Mischa Barnes here with another exciting webisode of “Mat Briefs with Mischa”. This time we are coming to you from Long Beach, California the next stop in the Wrestling Midwest tour. It’s so awesome being able to travel with the wrestlers and bring you this show from location each week as the tour progresses.
[Mischa takes a moment then, gathering up her notes, sitting up a bit straighter and taking a sip of water before continuing on.]
Mischa Barnes – I will not keep my loyal fans and followers waiting any longer, I know everyone is dying to know who my guest is tonight. Well since we are in Long Beach, California, it is only fitting that my guest tonight be a local guest…he is the King of Freaks….Adam Pyre!!
[Pyre walks into the shot with a huge kick in the air, takes a knee and does a little air guitar solo with a ton of convulsing. He stands back up and shakes Mischa's hand vigorusly before having a seat]
Adam Pyre – Hey there, Mischy, thanks for havin’ me!
[Mischa grins and lets out what is close to a schoolgirl giggle.]
Mischa Barnes – I didn’t know you were a musician Adam Pyre or is that from all those hours of Guitar Hero ? And quite welcome, have you seen any of the past episodes or do you need me to run down how this will work?
Adam Pyre – I have actually, I do know my way around an internet box there. I am not a musician actually, but I figured what with Kronin being on the show last week that I’d keep the rockin’ ball rollin. I do love me some metal music.
[Mischa claps her hands together and laughs good at that.]
Mischa Barnes – Alright then, well lets not keep those loyal webites waiting any longer and get right into it. First question we have for you tonight is this, how did Adam Pyre get started in the wrestling business and who trained you?
Adam Pyre – Well Misch, I got started in a little rinky dink fed called Deathcore Wrestling, DCW for shorthand. For those of you viewers that have been living under a rock, it was obviously a death match fed that basically had me risking life and limb week in and week out. So of course, I fit snuggly right in. I was trained a little here and a little there by a few different trainers around so cal, but the one I consider my wrestling mentor would probably a local talent here by the name of Charles Mercury. Great teacher and a very patient one as well. Though at the time I was also being possessed by a demon,
[Pyre chuckles as he continues talking]
Adam Pyre – So for all I remember he could have been a huge douche.
[Mischa nods her head, lifting an eyebrow at the mention of the demon.]
Mischa Barnes – Possessed by a demon you say…well moving right along, what are your thoughts about the El Dia event and outside your last man standing
match, what were the highlights of the show for you?
[Pyre rubs his goatee.]
Adam Pyre – Well I did enjoy the I Quit match between AWS Man (also known as Bill) and Kronin, though I was still a little woozy by the time that match rolled around, with the lack of blood and all that good stuff. Valora’s match was pretty good, and man did that Azteca outfit get over with those crazy mexicans. I thought it accentiuated her… assets pretty good too. Really I thought the whole show was one big highlight. It’s lookin like El Dia is gonna be the last show of the year, and I think WMW really went out with a bang.
[Mischa grins and bob-nods her head a bit.]
Mischa Barnes – Yeah everyone has been hugely impressed and happy with how well El Dia came off, never know might become an annual trip for the WMW with this kind of response. Now lets see…
[Mischa pauses and looks over her notes]
Mischa Barnes – Of the current WMW Roster, who do you most want to face?
Adam Pyre - Hmm… well I always love standing across the ring from Valora. I’d like to think of myself as a freaking awesome deathmatch specialist, but she always seems to just be able to be just a little bit better. Even in a loss its fuckin awesome fighting her, because we always steal the fuckin show. Aside from that, I don’t think I’ve fought Hecate yet, aside from that little battle royal. Same with Dru and Amariie. As far as a knock down drag out blood feud, I think I’d really like to get up in Kronin’s grill. He’s a pretty impressive talent.
[Mischa nods her head a bit.]
Mischa Barnes – I think alot of people would like to see how you and Kronin go at it. As everyone knows, GS 101 is coming from your hometown area, anything special planned for your homecoming, inside or outside of WMW?
Adam Pyre – Oh man, talk about a loaded question there Misch!
[Pyre runs his hand down his mohawk.]
Adam Pyre – I got a ton of things planned for the show. A lot of people have looked down their noses at me, and people like me, and frankly, I’m sick and damn tired of it. So this Graveyard Shift, people like me, freaks, we’re gonna be celebrated and not shunned. And as far as coming home goes, of course I’m gonna hit my old haunts. I don’t have much in the way of family anymore, so I’ll probably do a slew of bar hopping before WMW’s time in so cal is through.
[Mischa gives a sympathetic look at the mention of Pyre's family but reviews her notes a moment before moving onto the next question]
Mischa Barnes – Speaking of GS 101, you are the special guest General Manager for the night, any hints or previews for what you will do on the show?
[Pyre smiles a bit.]
Adam Pyre – Well I don’t like to kiss and tell there Mischy, but I wili tell you this, GS 101 is gonna be freaking crazy. Iwouldn’t be surprised if Sault St. Marie decides to hire me on as like, a creative consultant or something, because I guarantee the ratings for Gs 101 will be through the roof.
[Mischa leans back, taking a sip of water as she pulls out a pile of index cards]
Mischa Barnes – Well we are looking forward to a truly exciting show now. And it’s time for our fan supplied questions now. The first question comes from Bill in Detriot, What’s next for Adam Pyre in the WMW, are you going to stay in the ASC or move to the GLC ?
Adam Pyre – I’m not too sure just yet. I’m sort of at a crossroads. First off, I’m not your normal run of the mill rasstler. I usually go where the fightin’ is hot, rather than determining what title I want to fight for. It’s like I said on… that other show, which shall remain nameless… titles are nice and shiny but when you’re a champ you’re only as good as your last defense. I did all that before, I got all the titles in a fed and stuff. I just want to fight people now, so it really depends on where my next beef takes me.
Mischa Barnes – Interesting answer, not one alot of people would share or even come out and say, kudo’s to you for that Adam. [Mischa looks down at her index card] And no suprise here, it’s become like the question to ask everyone. Of all the wrestlers, past and current, inside the WMW or outside, who is your dream opponent or opponents and why. This week the question from from Jill in Buffalo.
Adam Pyre – Hmm, well I’ve always been a big fan of the indy scene in cali, and I’ve always fantasized about a Super Dragon feud, back when he was in his prime. I also really like Viking from IWS, and I think we’d tear it up, but I don’t know if anyone even knows who he is. As far as mainstream, I’d love to tear it up with some of the newer mainstream talents like CM Punk, Edge, Evan Bourne, Daniels, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe. Bryan Danielson would be friggin sweet, but who wouldn’t wanna wrestle that guy. and to be completely honest, I’ve always had a little fan flame for Kane. Eh? You like what I did there?
[Mischa chuckles softly at Pyre's little joke there.]
Alright we have one question left for this show, this one comes from Samantha in Erie, What are your true feelings for Valora and are you going to admit them to her, and what do you think of her having other suitors?
Adam Pyre – Well… I’m not exactly sure what samantha’s going for with the whole true feelings dealio, but I’ve already gone on record for saying that I loved her. So ipso facto and habeus corpus, I’m pretty sure the ball has been firmly left in her court. But she’d like to you to believe all this malarky that I’m hiding my feelings and junk. Whatever. I’m not gonna just sit around in the back at every show, twiddling my thumbs and waiting for her to figure it out. I’m gonna kick some skulls in, like I always do. Freaking women, ya know? I mean, amirite Mischy?
[Mischa chuckles softly, her eyes twinkling with humor]
Mischa Barnes – Spoken like a true man, Thank you so much for joining us on Mat Briefs with Mishca, any last words ?
Adam Pyre – Make sure you all freaking watch Graveyard shift 101 this week, or I’ll rape your houses and burn your children! Oh I know where you all live, and if you don’t believe me, give it a test come thursday night.
[Mischa reaches over, shaking hands with Adam Pyre and turns towards the camera.]
