Preview – TFWF/SW Present: Ice Storm 2009 live on PPV!!
Please note this event will be posted on Sunday 3rd January 2010.
On December 27th 2009 the TFWF will be plunged into the freezing hell hole that is Siberia as the final TFWF Pay Per View event of 2009 – Ice Storm – will take place in the infamous warehouse which is home to not just the prisoners of Siberia but also the under ground professional wrestling sensation – Siberia Wrestling!
The world famous stars of the TFWF will be out of their elements as they will compete within the freezing and brutal confines of Siberia Wrestling. There will be no pyro, no big video screens, no screaming fans wearing their favourite TFWF merchandise. This will be a series of fights set to the backdrop of the most unforgiving and violent wrestling promotion in the world – Siberia Wrestling!
How did the stars of the TFWF come to be in Siberia? What matches will take place? Will the stars of the TFWF even escape the confines of Siberia Wrestling? The only way to find out the answers to these and many other questions is to read on!
SW Warehouse Championship Match
WWR Women’s #36 Riley Storm (C) vs. WWR Women’s #21 Abbey Spears vs. “The Arbitor” X vs. Stoner vs. Tommy Valentine vs. Jason RavenAbbey Spears has been the reigning Warehouse champion for months, without seemingly anyone to be much of a challenge to her. However, this all came to an end at the final Lockdown of 2009, when the fresh newcomer Riley Storm beat Spears to win the championship. However, these two are not the only ones interested in the championship- newcomers “The Arbiter” X and James Raven have made their names known as well, even interfering and taking out both Storm and Spears following their match. With all of this chaos ensuing, The Warden made it clear that there would be an elimination match involving these four, Stoner, and Tommy Valentine. Out of these six men and women, who will be leaving Ice Storm with the Warehouse championship around their waist?
DWIWF North American Championship Match
Aaron ‘The Cobra’ Roberts (C) vs. Viktor KovalenkoThe first TFWF championship match of the night sees a battle between two polar opposite personalities over the prized DWIWF North American Title.
Aaron Roberts is a member of Desert Sex, more concerned with making ‘hit’ records and scoring with groupies, Roberts is known for his deluded ego and love of himself as well as being the longest running North American champion in the history of the TFWF.
Viktor Kovalenko is a newcomer to the TFWF. He has transferred from the world of MMA fighting, where he was one of the most feared and successful competitors in the history of the sport. Kovalenko is all business, he is the TFWF to rise to the very top of professional wrestling and dominate professional wrestling as he did in the world of MMA. His first target? None other than the DWIWF North American Champion – Aaron Roberts!
In recent weeks it has become apparent to the fans of the TFWF that Aaron Roberts wants absolutely nothing to do with ‘The War Hound’ and he is more than a little worried that his record breaking run as North American Champion is about to come to a violent end! Kovalenko decisively defeated Roberts’ Desert Sex team mate Ness on a recent edition of TFWF Monday Night Mayhem and sent a message loud and clear – Roberts was next! ‘The Cobra’ has tried to reason with Kovalenko but his pleading has fallen on deaf ears! Inside the freezing confines of Siberia Wrestling these two men will meet for the North American Title with Kovalenko looking to prove the hype is correct by winning a TFWF title at the first time of asking. As for the champion? He just hopes he can make it out of Siberia with all his limbs still in tact!
Kenneth White/Steven White vs. Xander Gates /Darius Iscariot
Knight and White stated upon their debut only a few weeks ago that they wanted to make an impact in Siberia, and they are seemingly doing to do that as they challenge Trinity members Darius Iscariot and Xander Gates. The Trinity, which spreads their religious views through brute force more than anything, desire to be the top stable in Siberia and no one will get in their way- including White and Knight, who they have laid out in the last few weeks leading to Ice Storm. White and Knight have returned the favour, however, by attacking Xander Gates the week before Ice Storm is scheduled. Will this give them enough momentum to walk out of Ice Storm the winners, or will they fall to the Trinity?
T.F.W.F. Tag Team Championship Match
WWR Tag Team #23 The Commonwealth Connection (Chester Addison/SG Martins) (C) vs. Kent Clark/Allen ‘APB’ BartschEver since they entered the TFWF as one of the hottest new tag teams in professional wrestling The Commonwealth Connection have found themselves the target of one man – Allen ‘APB’ Bartsch. Whether it was wrongly accusing The Connection of injuring his tag team partner Kendell Smith or claiming the new Tag Team Champions have become unbearable and arrogant since winning the gold, APB has had his sights set solely on The Commonwealth Connection.
At first The Connection were able to ignore the comments and actions of APB, concentrating instead on winning the TFWF Tag Team Titles at Autumn Annihilation but as APB’s paranoia and dislike of Addison and Martins grew the issue between the three men became more personal and intense and saw one of the most popular young wrestlers in the TFWF, Kent Clark, dragged into a fight he had no part in.
Thanks to some clever words from APB he convinced Kent Clark that the TFWF Tag Team Champions need to be taken down a peg or two and made to respect those wrestlers, such as APB and Clark, who have been in the TFWF for significantly longer. With APB using more underhanded and violent tactics in recent weeks, all without the knowledge of his impressionable partner, the issue between these four men has reached breaking point. Now The Commonwealth Connection will look to end APB’s pursuit of them by retaining the TFWF Tag Team Titles at Ice Storm. For APB and Clark this could be the defining moments of their careers if they can topple the hottest tag team on the planet today and capture the TFWF Tag Team Titles.
T.F.W.F. Hardcore Championship Match
WWR Men’s #41 Joel Bryant (C) vs. WWR Women’s #30 Stevie SwingIt has been an up and down year for Joel ‘Crazyman’ Bryant in the TFWF. He and his former tag team partner Eaton Gore claimed the TFWF Tag Team Titles only to enter into a long and bizarre feud with Desert Sex which left Bryant without his Tag Team Title or his partner who left the TFWF at Autumn Annihilation. It wouldn’t take Bryant long to regain TFWF gold as he was successful in capturing the TFWF Hardcore Title from Scorpio he has lost and regained the battered belt on a number of occasions and has recently cemented himself at the top hardcore wrestler in the TFWF. A firm fan favourite and one of the top prospects for 2010 in the TFWF, Bryant hopes to cap his debut year in the TFWF off with a successful Title defence at Ice Storm.
Stevie Swing has had no less of a rollercoaster first year in the TFWF. She went from the highs of winning the vacant Light Heavyweight Title defeating Kent Clark at Autumn Annihilation, to losing the Title only a few days later to Kirsta Lewis. Swing is one of the most successful female wrestlers in the world and she looks to get back on the winning track with a hardcore battle against Joel Bryant inside the unforgiving walls of the prison of Siberia Wrestling.
The match against the two would be left in serious doubt however as Swing suffered a concussion following a failed sneak attack on Bryant which saw her fall fifteen feet from the side of the Mayhem stage and onto a stack of electrical equipment below. Swing looked in bad shape as she lost in less than thirty seconds on her first match back on Mayhem following her fall. The fans of the TFWF have been left wondering if Swing will even make it to Ice Storm and if she does, will she be in the right condition for a Hardcore Title match against a man renowned for his weapon swinging talents! This could be a bloody train wreck of a match which will no doubt please the prisoners of Siberia.
T.F.W.F. European Championship Match
WWR Men’s #66 Jonnah Street (C) vs. ExileJonnah Street has been given a lot of tags during his time in the TFWF, ‘the future of pro wrestling,’ ‘the franchise of TCK,’ ‘the most exciting prospect in years’ but for now he prefers to be known as the TFWF European Champion. As a corner stone of the most dominant stable in TFWF history, The Career Killers, Jonnah has seen his stock rise to dizzying heights in 2009 and he looks to end the year on a high by retaining his TFWF European Title against a man who has very quickly become a thorn in the side of TCK and in particular Jonnah Street. Jonnah is known for his cutting promos and comments which can cut to the core of his opponents as well as his nonstop power house wrestling style which has brought him a great deal of success in his relatively short career. Jonnah has the backing of TCK but he wants to step into the brutal confines of Siberia and prove to the world that he can stand alone when the situation calls for it.
One of the highlights of the year for many TFWF fans was the unexpected return of Exile. One of the most popular figures in recent TFWF history Exile had left the TFWF following his intense and life changing feud with Jose Ramon which resulted in Exile’s personal and professional life left in tatters. However he could not sit on the sidelines any longer as his long time friend, Georgie Nickles, was seriously injured by Fallen Angel and forced to retire from the TFWF. Exile would make a dramatic return attacking Fallen Angel and thereafter defeating the leader of TCK in his first Monday Night Mayhem match since his return. Exile is fighting for all those TFWF wrestlers who have had their careers cut short this year by TCK.
On his return Exile immediately got into a classic verbal battle with Jonnah Street which resulted in the TCK man challenging Exile to a match for his European Title at Ice Storm – which Exile gladly accepted. The wise cracks and comments were exchanged between the two men to the delight of the TFWF fans as the Title match at Ice Storm was signed. Street would have the last laugh prior to Ice Storm as he used the TFWF security team to beat Exile down and without having to lift a finger himself. It appears the TCK man has had enough of the wise cracking and highly popular Exile and he is now making it his mission to return Exile to the retirement list. This will be a classic match of speed versus power and with the European Title on the line and both men looking for bragging rights over the other, this could be the sleeper hit of the show.
SW Voyle Championship Match
Dan Filat (C) vs. Ryan RuckusFilat won his second Voyle championship under mysterious circumstances in November when he beat an injured Neil Climer for the championship, and since then he hasn’t had anyone challenge him for the championship- that is, until Ryan Ruckus appeared on the scene. Having lost everything due to an inept manager and being sent to Siberia, Ryan Ruckus is looking for a fight, and it seems Filat is his primary target. Will Filat find a way to weasel out of Ice Storm with the Voyle championship around his waist, or will Ruckus’ motivation lead him to Siberian gold?
T.F.W.F. Intercontinental Championship Match
Jose Ramon (C) vs. PhenomEver since it was revealed that Phenom was the hit man hired by TCK to remove wrestlers from the TFWF roster the big man had been riding high – until he set his sights on Jose Ramon and the Intercontinental Title. There is no doubt Phenom is one of the most intimidating and devastatingly violent wrestlers in the TFWF today. He has injured and retired a number of wrestlers this year and has now set his sights on championship gold and the Intercontinental Title.
It has been a rollercoaster year for Jose Ramon. At one point he was one of the most despised men in the TFWF thanks to his intense and highly emotional feud with Exile. However in the past few months the TFWF fans have seen in a change in Ramon and in fact a great number of them have taken him to their hearts. It would have seemed impossible for Ramon to be considered popular at the beginning of 2009 but as the year draws to a close there is no doubt that the Intercontinental Champion is winning over new fans every day with his fun loving and joking attitude together with his fighting sprit and incredible in-ring move set.
Phenom’s intentions have been clear from the outset, attack and injure Ramon before taking his IC Title at Ice Storm to cap off a successful year for the TFWF’s hired gun. Unfortunately for Phenom this has proved more difficult than he could imagine. Each attempted attack to soften Ramon up before Ice Storm proved unsuccessful and Phenom was left more frustrated with each passing week! His mind set was not improved by Ramon carrying out a series of pranks and practical jokes with left the big man even more red faced and frustrated than before. Unfortunately Phenom’s final attack before Ice Storm would prove successful and he is now confident he can end the year by taking Ramon’s IC Title. For Ramon the jokes are now over, he wants to stop Phenom in his tracks and to out wrestle him in the process. This will be another power vs. speed match up and with emotions running high and both men looking to prove they belong at the top of the card in the TFWF this could be a classic.
Siberian Rules Match – T.F.W.F. vs. SW
WWR Tag Team #46 Desert Sex (Scorpio/Ness/Creme de la Creme) vs. WWR Women’s #5 Cecile Lecrux/Darkseid/Andrei SorokovThe first of two cross promotional matches sees the wanna be pop stars of Desert Sex take on the fearsome SW trio of Lecrux/Darkseid and Sorokov. The three SW wrestlers made their intentions known with a backstage raid and attack at Autumn Annihilation where the seeds were first sown for the TFWF to stage Ice Storm in Siberia. Since that time all has been quiet until Crème de la Crème put forward his Desert Sex team mates for this six man match. The feeling among TFWF fans is that DS are out of their depth and in for a night of pain and anguish at the hands of the SW trio! This is TFWF vs SW and it’s a match you can’t afford to miss!
Anything Goes Match
Jack Hondo vs. Iziah HunterThe newest member of the TFWF roster takes on the newest member of the SW roster in what is sure to be a brutal, bloody and intense fist fight between two highly regarded and respected warriors.
The wrestling world has been abuzz with excitement since confirmation was received that RKW legend Jack Hondo was coming to the TFWF to challenge the dominance of TCK. Hondo is a veteran brawler who is respected and revered by wrestling fans throughout the world. Hondo has watched from afar as TCK have injured and retired numerous wrestlers over the past year. As a man of integrity Hondo has been appalled by the actions of TCK and had made his intentions known he is coming to the TFWF to deal with TCK.
Iziah Hunter is the definition of an enigma. A former US Army Ranger and one of the most intense and violent competitors in TFWF history Iziah Hunter was on his way to the top of the TFWF before his exit due to a number of wellness policy violations. His TFWF career was cut short and it was believed he left the company in order to recover from his addictions and get his life back on track. It appears Hunter is now ready for active competition and he will have no bigger challenge for his first match in quite some time than a brawl with Jack Hondo.
This match was a surprise for many fans as Jack Hondo was originally slated to face TCK’s own Kirsta Lewis. However it was revealed that Lewis had in fact been working with Hondo and intended to try to bring TCK down from the inside at Ice Storm. Unfortunately for Kirsta her plan was rumbled by TCK before it could be executed and on the final Monday Night Mayhem before Ice Storm her true intentions were laid out by TFWF owner Ian Monks. Kirsta was then viciously attacked by Iziah Hunter who appeared from the crowd. Lewis was beaten to a bloody pulp by Hunter and it is believed her injuries are so severe she will never again compete in the TFWF – effectively TCK arranged the death of one of their own members careers! This was not the end of the shocks as immediately following his destruction of Lewis Hunter was arrested and Ian Monks revealed he would be sent to Siberia’s prison where he would become the newest member of Siberia Wrestling and would replace Kirsta in the match with Jack Hondo at Ice Storm!! The shock waves of this situation have rippled throughout the TFWF and Jack Hondo is a marked man walking into Ice Storm. There is no telling how this match will play out but we can sure that blood, violence and mayhem will reign supreme within the frozen confines of Siberia Wrestling!
DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: Rhys Pect Special Guest Referee
Fallen Angel vs. WWR Men’s #37 Sandy MakelA clash of two of the top wrestlers in the TFWF will take place as the first main event match of Ice Storm from Siberia. Two men who have been involved in an on-off feud throughout most of 2009 will clash at Ice Storm as the leader of TCK Fallen Angel and his current nemesis Sandy Makel meet at Ice Storm with controversial TFWF star and sworn enemy of Fallen Angel, Rhys Pect will be the special guest referee.
Following his victory over Rhys Pect at Autumn Annihilation Fallen Angel believed he had the world at his feet. The World and European Titles were within the TCK ranks, all opponents and enemies had fallen at their feet, however he did not consider the reaction of Sandy Makel to Angel’s interference in his match at Autumn Annihilation with Georgie Nickles. Angel thought nothing of driving Nickles head first into the concrete at ringside with his ‘Cradle of Darkness’ cradle piledriver, seriously injuring Nickles’ neck and putting her out of the TFWF.
Makel had waged a months long verbal battle with Nickles, proclaiming her to be below him and not worthy of facing him or holding the title of The True Expert through The Experts organisation. Makel had hoped to prove his words at Autumn Annihilation with a clean win over Nickles but thanks to Fallen Angel’s interference he was unable to do so. This infuriated Makel who immediately challenged Angel to a match at Ice Storm to settle the score between the two men.
In the weeks leading up to Ice Storm it became apparent that the strength of the resistance against TCK was growing. With Jack Hondo, Exile, Rhys Pect and Sandy Makel there could be no doubt that some of the best wrestlers in the world were focusing their efforts on breaking the stranglehold of TCK over the TFWF. This lead to Fallen Angel and Ian Monks appearing on TFWF television to announce that Pect had failed a drugs test and had been suspended from the TFWF for a period of one month, pending further tests and investigation. The fans of the TFWF were furious and felt this was another example of Fallen Angel using his influence to remove a wrestler from the TFWF. The rumour mill has been in overdrive with the majority of people believing Pect had been set up by Angel. Sandy Makel certainly believed this but thanks to some manoeuvring behind the scenes Makel was able to gazump Angel and have Pect installed as the special referee at Ice Storm! He may not be cleared to wrestle but the TFWF Board of Directors were convinced by Makel to let Pect referee the match as he is the only man who could guarantee a fair match for Makel at Ice Storm. So now the stage is set and once again Fallen Angel and Sandy Makel will go to war. Makel will be looking to avenge his defeat to Angel at Death or Glory in June. Angel wants nothing more than to take Makel out of the TFWF for good but he will have the fight of his life on his hands and with the added factor of Pect as the referee Makel really has stacked the deck against Fallen Angel this time! Could the leader of TCK finally be humbled by Makel, the only way to find out is to tune into Ice Storm from Siberia live on Pay Per View!!
DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship
WWR Men’s #29 ‘The Mould’ JC McDonald (c) vs. Sebastian CrossAnd so we come to the final match of the night and the final match of 2009 in the TFWF. The battle for the Undisputed World Heavyweight Title between the Champion JC McDonald of TCK and Sebastian Cross the undisputed hero to millions of TFWF fans. This match is the reason that the TFWF are in Siberia and the twisted and disturbing road both men have had to travel to get to this point has been mapped out for them by the demonic clown of the TFWF, Dorian Wong.
The history of this epic story has to be told to allow the full scope of what has lead the TFWF and in particular Sebastian Cross and JC McDonald to Siberia:
At Death or Glory 2009 Sebastian Cross and Dorian Wong would meet in a match which had been six months in the making. Wong, the demonic and psychotic clown, had long coveted Cross’ life as a hero to the TFWF fans and more importantly the loving family he had with his wife Whitley and their baby son Joseph. In the build up to this epic encounter it was revealed that Whitley and Joseph had been taken by Wong and presumably murdered. The titanic battle between the two men would end with Cross as the victor but in scenes that will forever be remembered by TFWF fans Wong set off a series of explosions within Wembley stadium where Death or Glory was being held. During the ensuing chaos and evacuation Wong disappeared. He was believed to have died in the explosions but many fans were convinced he had escaped and would return soon to stalk Cross and the TFWF once again. However when news of his arrest and detention in Siberia reached the TFWF the game changed and many believed this would be the end of the Dorian Wong saga.
This would prove to be far from the case as Wong appeared to be playing mind games with Cross and even appeared at a few events to carry out attacks on Cross, including at the conclusion of their Autumn Annihilation match which McDonald won to retain his World Title. It would be revealed that JC McDonald was behind a number of these incidents but he too would soon be dragged into the game being played by Wong from the other side of the world. To ensure his safety from Wong McDonald agreed to once again put the World Title on the line against Cross on the orders of Dorian Wong. Sensing his safety would be in jeopardy if he did not comply McDonald agreed and the match was set.
So all roads have lead to this night, Ice Storm 2009 from the home of Siberia Wrestling, the warehouse. This promises to be a headline grabbing and historic night. The months long mystery surrounding Dorian Wong will come to an end. Sebastian Cross hopes to come face to face with the man many believed killed his family – although in recent weeks evidence has emerged that they could be alive. Cross wants answers, McDonald wants to keep his World Title and the whole world wants to know, how will this all end?
The only way to get those answers and to see the greatest wrestling promotion on earth put on their last show of the year is to tune into TFWF Ice Storm 2009 from Siberia LIVE on Pay Per View. When the temperature drops, the action heats up in the TFWF! Check your local listings for full ordering information and replay times. It’s the final TFWF show of the year and it could be the most historic and controversial of all time!
