MVWA 20: Katie Collins Captures Missouri Valley Wrestling TV Title
Posted February 9th by EW Torch Staff in E-Wrestling News, Missouri Valley Wrestling Association, TV Reports, Torchcenter
Highlighting a MVWA 20 that saw announcer Tessa Martin get fired and rehired as a manager, 3 time PCW Women’s Champion Katie Collins pulled off a mild upset by defeating ‘The Manchester Masterpiece’ Brooke Evans for the MVW Television Title. Evans, ranked 25th on the latest all-Woman rankings, never quite got herself going in the match and Collins shook off a multi-month slump to get the win.
Martin, who’d had repeated run-ins with co-host Dame Judith Carmondy, was fired by Carmondy after an incident last week on MVWA 19 where Tessa interjected herself into a match and laid out the Mean Girl Clique. However, former MVW Tag Team Champions Angels of Death immediately hired her on as a manager.
Other results from last night:
Caroline Kelly/Amy Mason upset The Pinups: Sabrina James and Alicia Rowe.
Jill-Berg obliterated Big Skye in short order.
MVW Champion Miss USA retained her crown, defeating Corrina Romanov with the Patriot Missile.
