7/19-The DCR Report Recap

Posted July 21st by EW Torch Staff in Best of E-Wrestling, E-Wrestling News, TV Reports, Torchcenter

With:

Kevin Daniels- covering Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation and All-Star Championship Wrestling

Chris Cantwell- covering Simcoe County, Prime, Sin City Championship Wrestling, Viking Wrestling Federation, New Frontier Wrestling, Empire Pro Wrestling, Action Packed Wrestling, and High Impact Wrestling

and J.P. Reynolds- covering High Octane Wrestling, Wrestling Midwest, Evolution Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling X, Global Division of Wrestling, G-2, Genesis Pro, and Wrestling Championship Federation

———-

Lead Story: Omega Wins All Star Championship Wrestling’s Fight Night

Top Five Finishers:
1. Omega
2. Fejona Min
3, ‘The Alpha Dog’ Mark Weiler
4. Jesse Ramey
5. Max Danger

Daniels was impressed with the wrestlers and how they held up for the entire two hours.  Omega owned the final half hour as he came from behind to win.  He liked the way Mark Weiler started out and thought he was the one to beat early on.  Daniels is also pleased to see Max Danger finish in the top five.

Cantwell thought Fejona Min was going to pull off the unlikely win but once Omega got a head of steam going he couldn’t be stopped.  He believes Fight Night elevated Omega, Fejona Min, and ‘Alpha Dog’ Mark Weiler into legitimate contenders.

Reynolds concurs with Cantwell on Fejona Min’s remarkable performance.

Sin City Wrestling Returns

Damien Lester def. Jeremiah Belmont

El Mundo def. Morgan Aurora

Doug E. Fresh def. Droskarr

‘Mr. Main Event’ David Cyclone def. Cid Phoenix

Insomnia def. Valerie Belmont

SCW Wildcard

Cantwell: ‘big win’ for Damien Lester as Jeremiah Belmont hasn’t lost many matches lately no matter where he’s gone.  Bad night for the Belmonts as Valerie loses the Main Event to Insomnia.

Daniels concurs re: Lester and Insomnia.  He’s glad to see SCW Wildcard back on the air from their new location.  He’s interested in the direction now that Ornery Hillman, Ryan Ruckus, and MDK are all at TFWF.  Cantwell thinks it’ll be a huge loss for SCW if they are in fact gone.

PRIME 226

Tony Gamble def. Skyler Montgomery

Tchu def. Christian Daniels

Castor V. Strife def. Tyler Rayne

PRIME Revolution 226

Cantwell thinks Castor V. Strife is ready for a title shot NOW.  He already holds title in New Frontier Wrestling and A1 Entertainment.  Match was the highlight of what was a segment/angle driven show.

Daniels agrees about Strife.

Blade def. J.R. Kingston

The Sports Nutz def. The Axis of Awesome

Leila Farrahi def. “The Second Coming” Criss Cassidy

Crazy Joe and Cooper Conrad def. Michael Lively and Victor Hades

Sally Talfourd def. Bryan Payne

APW Overdrive

Daniels: The big story is Talfourd’s upset win over Bryan Payne.  Payne having issues in and out of the ring.  This from the Championship Wrestling Council site:

A spokesman from Action Packed Wrestling (APW), an internationally recognized federation and member of the organization known as ‘The Experts’ issued a press release early Sunday morning regarding the popular wrestler known as Bryan Payne. The two time World Champion whose personal struggles over the last year have become fodder for half a dozen tabloid magazines appears to have finally, in the words of one unnamed
source ‘snapped.’

After brutal in ring attacks on Level One (Lester Only), and Sally Talfourd, and one unspecified backstage incident involving medical personnel, General Manager Biggs has ordered the APW “Mega Star” to undergo anger management therapy or risk financial and professional sanctions up to and including the termination of his contract.

Daniels concurs that Payne needs to pull it back together and praises APW for taking the stand.

The Interfed is Born

Their goal is to cut the BS you get with your basic interfed and get to the roots of why people put our feds through them, the fun. Don’t take my word for it, just check the site out and look.

Daniels not impressed to date.  Thinks there are probably too many interfeds in the wrestling universe as it is.  Daniels puts over the Experts for ‘doing it right.’

Cantwell thinks they have a good idea and hopes they stick with it.

The Interfed

Lee Best to Sell High Octane Wrestling

Reynolds: This is definitely going down.  The only question is to who?  And what will the ramifications be for the current roster?

Daniels is not a fan of HOW and doesn’t care.

Cantwell is and always thought of HOW as the ECW of e-wrestling.  He reports that the new High Octane Rag is saying that the Paragon himself, Max Kael, may leave the company if he’s not satisfied with the new owner.

Reynolds believes that HOW will survive this.

Kirsta Lewis def. “The Polish Predator” Aleksy Madej

Max Kael/Mark “The Explosive” O’Neal def. Christopher America/LSD Champion Shane Reynolds©

Reynolds reports another big night for HOW Champion David Black as he defeats Graystone.

Cantwell notes that Black should crack the WWR Top 30 this week.

The Celestial Avatars def. Bundy and Bob Wire

Xavier Langston def. Marty Poppins

Emo Girl def. Arick Wills

Josh Briskout def. The Lumberjack

Umbrage/Vyper def. Father Nathan/Black Friar

WMW Graveyard Shift 124

Reynolds: Sault Ste. Marie’s campaign to remake Wrestling Midwest continues but he’s unable to keep Hecate out of the building thanks to owner Brad Johnson.

Cantwell says SSM is killing Wrestling Midwest.   He also believes SSM has issues with female wrestlers in prominent positions on the roster- hence forcing Valora out and trying to do the same with Hecate.

Reynolds hasn’t thought of that angle.  He just thought SSM was a jerk.

-Weiler is a beast.

Jason Blacque

How do we get UCWA added to one of these reviews? I mean Buddy Drifter and thw Good Fellas are both ranked and get a lot less press then some of the others ranked…
