E-Wrestling Channel World Rankings- August 29th
Posted August 31st by EW Torch Staff in Best of E-Wrestling, E-Wrestling News, TV Reports, Torchcenter
Zimmerman, Heirs of Wrestling, Valerie Belmont continue to head up the top spots in the E-Wrestling Channel World Rankings for the week ending August 29th. Of the three, it seems Belmont may be the one in the most jeopardy of being bumped out of the #1 spot. Belmont was barely able to hold off #2 Valora Salinas of Missouri Valley Wrestling in the Women’s Top 25 this week.

Hey, I’m just curious about the point system for the Top 25. It’s a pretty cool concept, but I can’t seem to figure out exactly what it’s based on.

The E-Wrestling Channel ranking system is a combination of how the DCR and WWR came up with their rankings.
The DCR System- a completely subjective system based on the following tiering of federations:
WWE tier:
Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation- the top RP based federation
All-Star Championship Wrestling- the angle-based federation
Between WWE and TNA tier:
Simcoe County, PRIME, Sin City Championship Wrestling, Viking Wrestling Federation, New Frontier Wrestling, Empire Pro Wrestling, Action Packed Wrestling, Pro Wrestling X, and Phoenix Wrestling Revolution
TNA tier:
Ultimate Championship Wrestling Alliance, High Octane Wrestling, Wrestling Midwest, Evolution Pro Wrestling, Sin City Wrestling, Global Division of Wrestling, G-2, Genesis Pro, Sanctioned Violence Organization, Hostility, and Wrestling Championship Federation
Suffice to say, chances are that the TFWF or ACW champion will usually be in the top 10.
The DCR system is used to determine the top 10.
The WWR System- a pure points system based on the following criteria.
TYPICAL MATCH
+2 win, -3 loss (weekly fed)
+4 win, -5 loss (bi-weekly, monthly etal…)
+5 additional- top title win, -5 additional- top title loss
+3 additional- secondary title win, -3 secondary title loss
+1 additional- successful title defense
PPV MATCH
+5 win, -5 loss
+5 additional- top title win, -5 additional- top title loss
+3 additional- secondary title win, -3 secondary title loss
+3 additional- successful top title defense
+1 additional- successful secondary title defense
+3 win in 3-way match, -2 loss in 3-way match
+4 win in 4-way and up match, -1 for loss
+5 win in 10 person and up match
-2 Inactivity
Single’s wrestling involved in tag team match
+1 win, -1 loss
The WWR system is used to determine places 11-25.

The answer to the question of how we can rate both angle and RP feds is this: we don’t care. The bottomline is that with every match there is a winner and there is a loser and we simply don’t care how the fedhead or booker came up who won.
