CHRIS CANTWELL’S TWO SENTENCE WRESTLING COMMENTARY

A new feature, Chris Cantwell’s Two Sentence Wrestling Commentary- because two sentences is all you need to get your point across.

Topic: Wrestling Midwest turmoil between former Great Lakes Champion Valora Salinas and GM Sault St. Marie.

Cantwell: “Sault St. Marie is trying to run off the wrestler who’s done more to bring attention to Wrestling Midwest then he’ll ever dream of which has to be one of the absolute moronic things I’ve ever seen. Memo to Sault St. Marie- no one cares about you; everyone cares about watching Valora Salinas who’s proven time and time again to be money inside the ring.”

Topic: Global Division of Wrestling- Angela Jameson is threatening to file suit against GDW because she lost her heavyweight title to Samantha Raine in a three way match where Jameson wasn’t pinned.

Cantwell: “Angela, don’t agree to three way dances for title matches and certainly don’t agree to three way title matches if they aren’t elimination-style. Stop crying and clogging our judicial system with stupid lawsuits like this and go win the title back in the ring.”

Topic: Max Danger reappeared at All-Star Wrestling’s Legends IV and announced that his wife is pregnant and he will retire for good after making one last run.

Cantwell: “I’ve missed Max Danger. Here’s to a memorable final go at it.

Bacardi introduces the main event of the night. WWR Men’s #1 Alias putting his ACW Heavyweight Title on the line against Trey Vincent with WWR Men’s #2 Shawn Jessica Hart as the referee. Hold on to your hats for this one.

MATCH 6 – ACW Heavyweight Title Match
WWR World #1 Alias (c) vs. Trey Vincent
All-Star Championship Wrestling Legends IV

Best Manager:
Alyssa Morenna- Action Packed Wrestling
-Managed Hellfire KID to a series of wins in April.

Best Heel:
The Career Killers (Fallen Angel, J.C. McDonald, Jonnah Street, Level-One)- Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation
-Every fed has to have an arch-heel group. TFWF is no exception. The Career Killers have specialized in making their enemies pay dearly for crossing them. The addition of Level-One to the group has made TCK even more dangerous.

Other Notable Heels in April:
Angela Jameson- Global Division of Wrestling
Ornery Hillman- Sin City Wrestling, TFWF
The Rev. James Onlee- TFWF
Level-One- Action Packed Wrestling

Best Face:
Sebastian Cross- Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation
-He’s lost his wife and child to the influence of the Reverend James Onlee. He’s lost the TFWF Title. He’s a desperate man. Looking for the big time payoff in May of a long running TFWF storyline where Cross finally gets his shot at the title again and gets his hands on Onlee.

Other Notable Faces in April:
Scarlett Willis- Simcoe County
Bryan Payne- Action Packed Wrestling

Best Character:
ChristPlow (Mike Polowy)- High Octane Wrestling
-Let it be said that Mike Polowy isn’t afraid to try different gimmicks. Last year in Dream Wrestling Federation, he became the Women’s champion who specialized in kicking females in the mommy parts. This one, where Mike was temporarily dead while in France and brought back to life, takes the case. At once, uproarious and borderline sacrilegious, you have to read ChristPlow to believe it. Or believe in him.

Match of the Month:
El Gallego Hawk Henshaw (c) vs. Cory Hatred vs. General David McCoy vs. William- Phoenix Wrestling Revolution Envy PPV
-Henshaw somehow retains the title in a loaded four-way match with an unpredictable Cory Hatred, a demented William, and General David ‘Bones’ McCoy.

Other Notable Matches in April:
High Flyer vs. Alias- All-Star Championship Wrestling Courage 110
Darin Zion vs. Brian Hollywood- Pro Wrestling X
Angela Jameson (c) vs. Samantha Raine vs. Jake Storm- Global Division of Wrestling Wrestlecade PPV

Show of the Month:
Global Division of Wrestling Wrestlecade
-Another solid outing from GDW in April

Other Notable Shows in April:
Phoenix Wrestling Revolution Envy
Pro Wrestling X High Stakes
Wrestling Midwest High Stakes

Male Wrestler of the Month:
Hannibal Cage- Siberian Wrestling, True Experts Champion
-Defeated Ryan Ruckus and El Mundo for the Heavyweight Title at Siberian’s Shades of Grey PPV- vaults into the WWR World top 10

Other Notables in April:
Kronin- Wrestling Midwest
-Defeated then #2 Valora Salinas for WMW’s Great Lakes title
ChristPlow (Mike Polowy)- High Octane Wrestling
-Won ICON Title from Max Kael at HOW’s Lethal Lottery show- new Jesus gimmick…interesting
Stephen Messier- Genesis Pro
-Def. Jim Rooster and Seth Iser @ Genesis 42 to win Genesis title- moved up into top 15
‘Normal’ John Johnson- Just Wrestling, Global Championship Wrestling
-Debuted in GCW and moved up the rankings into the top 10 for a time.

Female Wrestler of the Month:
Samantha Raine- Global Division of Wrestling
-Won GDW Heavyweight title from Angela Jameson at GDW Wrestlecade

Other Notables:
Hannah Rickman- Simcoe County
Glory Braddock- Global Division of Wrestling, Motor City Wrestling
Valerie Belmont- SCW, PWX, HIW, XCW
Valora Salinas- Wrestling Midwest

Wrestler of the Month:
Hannibal Cage- Siberian Wrestling, True Experts Champion

NEW FEDERATION POWER RATINGS ON THE WAY

Tonight, the monthly Federation Power Ratings will be released. Who will stand on top after two full months of action. Empire Pro Wrestling led the way after January with All-Star Championship Wrestling nipping on their heels. Will ACW pass EPW? Other feds who could be in the mix: New Era (CWC, F-Wrestling), High Impact Wrestling (Experts), Viking Wrestling Federation (Experts), and Universal Wrestling Federation.

TFWF Signs Level One and Latrisha

Huge signings by Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation as they pick up not one but two big stars in Level One and Latrisha.

Level One has been a fixture in the singles Top 5 and was last year’s WWR wrestler of the year. It appears he will continue on at Action Packed Wrestling where he has held the title now for several months.

Latrisha comes to TFWF by way of Phoenix Wrestling Revolution. At one time, she was one half of a very successful tag team with Hawk Henshaw until the team split up sometime in the Fall last year.

Hawk Henshaw win PWR Title

And speaking of Henshaw, he had quite a night at the recent Phoenix Wrestling Revolution Supershow IV. Two wins, one of them a PWR Title win over William, and Henshaw rebounds back onto the Top 30 at #17.

Dream Wrestling: Bishop Steele Wins Television Title

In action last night, #21 Muru fell to Bishop Steele giving Steele the Dream Television Title.

Steele, who’s bounced around a few feds, also has a tryout match next week with High Octane Wrestling. Steele wrestled at HOW last year before leaving on not so happy terms.

The Mike Polowy era as General Manager of Slaughter has started off on the right foot after two shows. Next week, former champions The Egg Bandits get a shot at regaining their tag team titles from #4 Tag Team in the World, The Grady Bunch.

High Octane Wrestling: Best not happy

Owner Lee Best was not happy when the WWR Rankings were released that no HOW wrestler made the list.

HOW’s highest rated wrestler, the enigmatic Max Kael (#42) has a chance to bullrush his way back into the top 30 this weekend against LSD Champion Chris Kostoff. Kostoff riding high after defeating Dawn McGill last week for the LSD title, will not be an easy win for Kael.

Upcoming Matches:

#2 Tag Team and PCW Tag Team champions ‘No Frills’ Chris Escondido and ‘American Citizen’ Kevin Scott of PCW meet the former Tag Team champions Jack and Bull Schett this Sunday night at PCW/MVW Weapons of Mass Political Destruction PPV.

ACW’s For Queen and Country will feature two wrestlers in the top five- Alias (c) and Shawn Jessica Hart. This will be Alias’s toughest test yet. Hart has won everywhere he’s gone and with Karina Wolfenden declining to sign an ACW contract, Alias has no back up in place.

Bobbinette Carey Announces Retirement
In recent months there has been much inner debate about retiring as a wrestling rper. I’ve been doing this for 14 years and alot of people don’t make it that long.

I have loved all those years, but I had told myself before RATR 2 that I was done no matter the outcome of the Kirsta vs Bobbinette match. I’m happy I was finally able to put the rumors to rest of me being in fear of Kirsta, I beat her and that was the best feeling along with the best way to go out as a wrestler, on top.

That is how everyone hopes to go out but not everyone is as fortunate. I myself was one of the few that have been lucky enough to be that fortunate. People don’t understand why I would retire from something I love. It’s because my passion isn’t in rping as a wrestler as much as it used to be. That drive that desire isn’t there like it used to be, it’s felt more like a chore then something that drives me as it used to. It has nothing to do with the wrestlers here they actually have been amazing and I have concidered some of them great friends that I’ll have forever.

I ended my wrestling career on a high note, not one for a title yet one for one that was more of proving something to myself. I am sorry if anyone feels I am letting them down but sometimes you have to do things for yourself in life and that is why I’m retiring from wrestling.

The door for Carey to return to HOW will always be open and she is a true credit to t

Thursday, October 8, 2009
The Tap ‘N’ Tin

Ricochet Pro Wrestling has under gone some massive changes through-out the years, but none more than what we saw on the last Crossfire, when William Scott Rhoden purchased Ricochet lock, stock, and barrel and announced that Ricochet would become a staple of Wednesday night television on his new World Sports Network which debuts in November.

However, what happens until November will be very interesting. Already announced for the first Crossfire on its new network is Johnny Royal defending his World Title against Antonino Romano, but first, Antonino Romano must find a tag team partner to face off against Shawn Kelley and Chris Deppe, the Ruff Ryders. Romano has made so many enemies through-out his years in Ricochet, who will he be able to find to face off against the Ruff Ryders?

Also on Crossfire, we saw David Dunn invite Sean Cain to a special live edition of The Monthly Cycle that will take place in the center of the Crossfire ring. What will happen when these two volatile enemies stand in the same ring as each other once again.

Ricochet will also debut another new RPW superstar Tommy “The Fury” Crimson taking on local superstar “The Man’s Man” Adam Tolliver.

10/12/09 – Slam
Live From The Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin

Anastasia Petrova vs Slickie T

Seth made several blockbuster announcements at Slam. One was that Hellimination was returning, with a four man team taking on the ToT. And at the end of Slam, he shocked the world and joined the Team of Torture, aligning himself with Jay Price.. and Torture himself. He then announced that Slickie T would be the next man to join the ToT. Tonight, Slickie is up against one of the members of the team going up against the ToT at Helloween, Anastasia Petrova. Petrova defeated Craig Jacobs last week, can she pull the upset and beat Slickie T? Will Slickie T show his allegiance to the ToT?

Tag Team Titles Match
The Big Time Jerks vs The Superfans

The Superfans defeated the team of Johnny Reb and Doc Henry. The Big Time Jerks also won at Slam, defeating Team of Torture members Ryan Daniels and Mikami. Tonight, the Big Time Jerks finally get their Tag Titles shot. Seth has been heard telling people that he’d be placing the Fans up against higher profile opponents, where will that be leading? And can the Jerks upset the Tag Champions?

Logan/Hector Rodriguez vs Mikami/Ryan Daniels

Logan returns to action, teaming up once again with Hector Rodriguez to take on Mikami and Ryan Daniels. Mikami and Daniels were unsuccesful in their bid to defeat the Big Time Jerks last week, will they be able to take out two of their Helloween opponents early? Or will the war escalate by Logan and Rodriguez defeating them?

Tyler Derden/Tyler Straven vs Truth Addiction

Truth Addiction, Tank Reaper and Chris Avery, return to tag team action to take on Tyler Derden and Tyler Straven. Derden and Straven have been linked together since arriving in WCF, and are up against one another at Helloween. They’re being forced to tag together tonight, will they be able to work together well enough to take down Truth Addiction?

Television Title Match
D-Day vs Jay Price
No Disqualification

Jay Price issued an open challenge to the entire WCF roster for a TV Title match, and D-Day has stepped up to the challenge. Not only that, but it is a no DQ match. Will D-Day be able to finally win gold in WCF or will ToT member Jay Price continue to dominate?

United States Title Contendership Match
Doc Henry vs Anthrax

Two men on opposite sides of the Hellimination match will compete to earn a United States Title shot. If Anthrax wins, he’d face Logan, who is on the opposite side of that match… but if Doc Henry wins, he’d be facing a man on his very own team. How will that affect the dynamics of this match, and the Hellimination match? Who will get the shot?

Hardcore Title Contendership Match
Greenfever vs Death vs Prince Jimmy Dean

Ace Slaughter won the Hardcore Title last week, but needs an opponent for Helloween. Three men will compete for the Helloween match: Prince Jimmy Dean, Death, and the former Hardcore Champion himself, Greenfever.

(From ‘My Thoughts On: Don’t Mess With Me’ by Owen Manton, courtesy: Dream Wrestling Federation)

My thoughts go out to Mrs. Kiersten Jake and her family. I wish the best for her, Ethan, and whomever else are close to them. It is obviously a stressful, and painful time as they await the news of their husband. My thoughts do not go out to them because I was the one who dropped that old geezer on his neck. No… because I feel no repentance for that. I came into this company with one mission, one goal. Myles Jake chose to be-rate me, attack me, treat me like garbage. He crossed the line over-and-over and left me no chose but to fulfill the ultimate mission. End his career. Stop him from polluting this company.

While I’m not the kind of guy to find humor in tragedy, I must say that I did smile slightly last night when I remembered that I was the one who caused two men to not make it to the big show. Lupin Cy – the once heralded competitor, who noone had nothing bad to say about; and Myles Jake – the former Ringside Champion and loving husband. Neither made it through the tour. One has to wonder if the both regret the decisions that they made. They both messed with the wrong man, and both paid dearly for it.

——————–

TESSA MARTIN COMMENTARY

“Hey Owen, I’m glad you can smugly sit in your office and pat yourself on the back for crippling a fellow pro wrestler. When I worked for PCW, I knew every night that I potentially put my life in the hands of my opponent…and vice versa. I guess I was lucky. I worked with people who take the proper care to make sure that we did our jobs as safely as possible. I’ll tell you this much, Owen. If I deliberately hurt someone in the same fashion you did last night and acted arrogantly cavalier about the whole matter, my ass would have been fired from PCW very quickly. I hope Kiersten Jake has a good attorney because I know if I were in the same position and the man who crippled MY husband publicly said the things that you did today, you and I would be in a court of law quicker than you can blink.

“This kind of crap has no place in pro wrestling, period. If I were running the DWF, Owen Manton’s days of putting the lives of other pro wrestlers, trying to make a living in a business that is difficult to do so, would have ended the millisecond that promo hit.”
